Community     Modern Yankee Builders proudly supports our community through donations of time and/or money to community organizations.           We participate annually in Rebuilding Together which brings together volunteer remodelers and building materials suppliers with families in need to help improve and maintain their residences. We have helped remodel a laundry and storage room, installed new stairway railings for added safety, fixed windows for better comfort and energy efficiency, and installed a dryer vent to improve indoor air quality.     We are members of Save the Bay and have participated in volunteer projects with manpower, tools and expertise including dock work at the new Save the Bay Center.     We also volunteer to speak at New England Institute of Technology’s career day. On this day every year, students from vocational and technical high schools in the tri-state area come to NET to learn about careers in the trades. It helps foster interest and participation in the local building trades. This year Joe talked about what a typical day is like for a remodeler, both in the field and office.
