| All construction and demolition waste…including removed existing structures…is recycled. Metals, glass, cardboard, wood, concrete and all other mixed debris are separated, processed and re-used. A minimum of 80% of the material removed from our projects is utilized to make other products rather than ending up in the local landfill. Much of the remaining material is ground into a fine earth-like mix and used for Alternate Daily Cover (ADC). This is a material which is used in lieu of virgin soil which would otherwise have been used to cap landfills (capping is mandatory and is done on a daily basis at all landfills). |
